Horse, Fashion Sense Reign At Race for Gold
Some 50,000 people lined Great Meadow in The Plains on Saturday to take in the spectacle of the 83rd Virginia Gold Cup Races, watching Bubble Economy and jockey Chip Miller capture the $100,000 purse in the marquee four-mile, 23-fence steeplechase event. But, as always, the Gold Cup was about more than horseracing. (11/05) More
